Ok Its Getting Weird Around Here

Ok Its Getting Weird Around Here

When I think of America, I think of big cities, beautiful country sides, patriotism, the flag, the best athletes in the world, greatest military, apple pie and soul food. But things aren’t looking so American to me right about now.

If you didn’t know, We are in the Islamic holy month Ramadan. The President held a ceremony to promote this holy month and called Islam a “great religion”.

Look, I am not anti-Islam what so ever. But there is something here that needs to be said. We are at war with Islamic extremists right now, and this does not send a clear message to our enemies. They are at war with us because we a Christian nation, and we are at war with them because they attacked us. You see, to praise what these people find as the root reason to hate us, you are then in return positively re enforcing what they find as the right thing to do (hate us because we ARE a Christian nation).

The President likes to pretend that we are not a Christian nation when in fact we are. The percentage of Americans who identify themselves as Christian as of 2001 is 77%. Here are the stats to prove that, This excludes all those who believe in God and have no religious affiliation, so in return the amount of believers in America can be upwards of 81%+.

The exact amount of self identified Muslims in America as of 2001 was 0.5% of our population. I will give the benefit of the doubt that there could be a plausible 2% but all in all we we are a Christian nation. This is an un disputable fact.

So why would the President go out of his way to please such a small percentage of Americans? Why would he go out of his way to please a large amount of our enemies?

Why didn’t the President go out of his way to recognize the beginning of the Ecclesiastical Year (Sept. 1)? This would embolden those here in America and raise moral among our own people. This would raise awareness about Christianity, a religion that the President “practices”.

This is what separates Liberal Progressives from Conservatives. Liberals are about appeasement of our foes, and Conservatives are about appeasement of our own people. Conservatives cater to their own and make sure Americans are happy FIRST. This is important when our country is going through some rough times (i.e. war, recession, political unrest).

Hopefully these things will become more evident to our President in the near future, because Americans are lacking a leader who loves this country the same way they do, and if not, it isn’t evident.

Thanks!

North Korea Releases Euna Lee and Laura Ling!!!

Aug 4th, 2009 by Keith

August 4th, 2009 North Korea releases the two American journalists Euna Lee and Laura Ling after being sentenced to 12 years hard labor in their state sponsored prisons.

What can be learned from all of this? President Clinton went there as a private citizen and accomplished a negotiation without any government help. This proves that a private citizen can accomplish a big task. DO NOT applaud our government for this applaud the efforts of private citizen former President Bill Clinton.

Even though I disagree with President Clinton politically, I thank him for going there and I am really excited that these two women get to come home.

Thanks and God Bless!

What Does It Mean To Be A Conservative?

Aug 2nd, 2009 by Keith

Here’s a video of President Reagan explaining conservative values. And then I will give my take.

What makes a conservative a conservative? Well that question is as easy to answer as it is hard to answer. There are certain principals that are undeniably “conservative principals”.

I will list them:

1. Government is an entity that gets in the way of citizens; not help.

2. Taxes should only serve to maintain a military, keep good public interior (i.e. roads, parks etc…), maintain law enforcement and support national security.

3. The people should decide what government is allowed to do; not the other way around.

4. The Constitution is a timeless document and not a living document (i.e. changes with current events).

When other issues that the media has coined as “conservative” like pro-life and anti gay marriage are brought up, it generalizes a diverse group. Those four principals are four that 99% of conservatives can agree on. Other issues like pro-life vs. pro-choice and gay marriage are social issues and not government issues, which shows that being a conservative is simply a word to describes someone’s opinion on size of government.

My next blog post is going to be about the 3 major political creeds in American politics: liberalism, conservatism and progressivism.

Thanks For Reading!
